The Town Council of Meadows has adopted its first Municipal Plan (2023-2033) and Development Regulations (2023-22) on June 12, 2023.
A public hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Plan (2023-2033) will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023 at the Town Office, Meadows, NL.
In general terms, the Municipal Plan (2022-2023) will be the legal document guiding the future of the Town over the next 10 years. The Development Regulations (2023-2033) will be the legal document giving effect and implementing the Municipal Plan (2023-33) over the same period, which includes development standards such as zoning.
Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation at the Public Hearing shall, at least 2 days before the date set for the Public Hearing, deposit with the Town Clerk of Meadows, two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation. If no written objection or representation with respect to the Municipal Plan (2023-33) or Development Regulations (2023-33) are received within the time indicated, the Public Hearing may be cancelled.
The Municipal Plan (2023-33) and Development Regulations (2023-33) may be inspected during normal business hours (Monday to Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.) at the Town Office, 11 Community Hall Road. or electronically on the Town’s website.
